DINMAN HARDAUL’S PALACE
Indian Bundelkhand is home to Dinman Hardoul Singh, also known as Lala Hardoul, a Hindu folk god. He was the prince of Orchha, the brother of Jhujhar Singh, and the son of Maharaja Vir Singh Deo. He was born in 1664 and passed away at the young age of 24 in 1688. Visitors congregate at a Hardoul shrine in Bundelkhand, where local legend has it that the man is still alive and revered as a god.
He is occasionally regarded as the nephew of Alha and Udal of Mahoba (see Alhakhand), however Lala Hardoul was a Bundela during the Chandela era, whilst Alha and Udal were Banaphars.
